Then indecision brings its own delays,
And days are lost lamenting over lost days.
Are you in earnest? Seize this very minute;
What you can do, or dream you can do, begin it;
Boldness has genius, power and magic in it.
From Faust – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
In the last post I told you that I would have closed my blog for some time. Well, the closing period is gone and now I’m back at full strength, giving you the best advice, resources and news about the internet marketing space and specifically the social media marketing world.
Do you want to know what I did in the last week or two? In a previous post I told you about my risk of loosing my day job as an auditor at the end of september. Well, that didn’t happened!
While I’m very happy for that, I’m also a bit sad. I’m trying to reason with myself and understand that being a blogger without an income and a day job is something dangerous and potentially soul crushing.
The opportunities for being a full-time blogger don’t outweight, for now, the steady paycheck that I’m receiving. Later, when the traffic is solid and my blogging routine is established, I’ll make my move.
So I started to plan and think about my blog and how to start my business online and here is the starting plan of my grand scheme of ruling the world muahahah
Now, about the strategies.
This is another take on one of my earlier posts in this blog, where I outlined how I was going to create the audience for my website. Unfortunately, life and work came, so I didn’t really took action.
Today is the day I change everything! By combining the knowledge of three very smart and experienced people and their products for beginners (Darren Rowse, Kiesha R. Easley and Alex Jeffreys), I now have a roadmap to follow for the next 2 months of blogging and internet marketing.
I’ll list briefly my goals for this week, then on every thursday I’ll post a report here, where I detail what I’ve done and the results I’ve obtained. To accomplish that, I have to journal my daily activities and take notes about every statistic I’m tracking, whether they are social media, blog statistics, time spent on activities, length of the posts and posting frequencies.
For the next week, I’ll do these things:
- Writing one post per day
- Commenting on other blogs
That’s it. I don’t want to push myself too much, since I have little time to spend after work before my body starts to say “Go to sleeeeeeeeeeeep damn it!!!!”. I’ll develop the skill to stay up at night after a long day, but it takes time.
Going into further detail about my tasks, here are some specific things I’ll do to make my goals for this week possible:
- Brainstorm some titles for my next posts
- Develop a posting calendar
- Write like hell
- Find 15-20 blogs to comment on and put them on Google Reader
- For every new post they publish, I’ll be one of the firsts to write a comment on their blog.
Guys, please don’t leave me alone with this. Show me your support (if you care, of course) in the comments section. Make me accountable for my commitment, go angry with me if I don’t do what I say, advice me on something I missed or suggest some resources that can make my job easier. The whole community will benefit from this. Your support is very important to me, it means to me so much
Also, if you wish more information about those tasks and know exactly how I did that, write it in the comments sections. I’ll be very glad to follow-up with another, more in-depth, post about that.
Wait for my update next thursday
Love you all, my dear readers. YOU ARE AWESOME!!!
Hey Luca,
Good to hear you have a roadmap to follow for the next 2 months of blogging. Look forward to your Thursday reports and updates!

The recommendations you discussed here are really useful. It absolutely was such a fun surprise to have that awaiting me after i woke up to find this event. Thank you very much for the tip!
