During this week I was reading about social media and how I can be a little bit more popular con these fancy web 2.0 sites like Twitter and Facebook.
I thought that getting on Twitter might be fun and it sure is. But something struck after the first 2-3 hours of browsing and posting:
How the heck does it work???
Yeah, yeah… we all know what Twitter is for:
- Sharing thoughts;
- Sharing things we are doing;
- Sharing information we find;
- Engage in conversation with others;
But as a Twitter noob, just try do it. I dare you!
It’s not that easy.
Well… sharing status updates is easy, but other than that there’s more than meets the eye!
Also I wanted to learn about how to promote my website on twitter and that is even more complicated.
So I started looking for people who use Twitter regulary for marketing and networking purposes and learn from their habits.
Why Twitter is crucial for bloggers
Of course, we all have blogs. Having a costant flow of information is crucial for us. We need fresh news, useful content and opinions from others to develop our topics and our posts.
We all know that Twitter can become, if you follow the right people, the best place to know what’s hot or what’s new in a particular topic or niche and to find inspiration and research material for our posts.
So I found a bunch of “Twitter Masters” or “Mentors” that we can all follow to watch and learn how they are twittering for business, while filtering through loads and loads of crappy profiles that just “link spam” their Twitter stream.
My Twitter Research Results
I finally boiled down my research to the best 26 profiles on Twitter – regarding our Internet Marketing niche and also about other niches as well.
And here’s the list. You can follow them all by clicking on their Twitter link, or you can join my Twitter list so you don’t have to follow them (and unbalance those important follower – following numbers)

Do you follow any other “Twitter Master” that we might learn from? Please post it in the comments below!
Have a good day everybody
Nice list Luca, I’m already following some of those mentioned but you’ve also given me plenty of new people to check out.
Thanks,

Glad that you’ve found it useful
Hey Luke

Hey Luke,
I’m still a noob with Twitter so your list here is very useful to me. It cuts my research time on whom to follow. Although I’m currently on a different project right now, I can always go back to your blog to check on this list again when I include Twitter on my marketing strategy.
Many Thanks,
Romi
